MOSCOW: Inflation in Argentina reached 8.3 per cent in October, up 120 per cent since the start of 2023, the Argentine National Institute of Statistics and Censuses said on Monday, reported Sputnik.

“The general level of the Consumer Price Index registered a monthly increase of 8.3 per cent in October 2023,“ the institute said in a statement.

Since the beginning of the year, inflation increased by 120 per cent, the statement read, adding that consumer prices rose by 142.7 per cent year-on-year in October.

The highest increase in prices was recorded for communication services, as well as for clothing and footwear – 12.6 per cent and 11 per cent, respectively, with cost for healthcare services showing the lowest increase of 5.1 per cent, the statement said.-Bernama
