ACTOR Adam Driver skillfully responded to questions from television anchor Chris Wallace about his appearance.

In the interview on the Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace? show, Driver was asked for his thoughts on being compared with veteran actors such as Al Pacino and Jack Nicholson, to which the actor responded by saying it is a “nice comparison” as those actors made him want to pursue acting.

The multiple award nominee for, among others, the Academy Awards, Golden Globe Awards and British Academy Film Awards said he often hears both compliments and negative opinions throughout his career.

“The New Yorker also called me a ‘horseface’. I remember reading one reviewer write, ‘His agent probably doesn’t know whether to put him in a movie or the Kentucky Derby (American horse racing)’.”

Driver then says he chooses to ignore both the good and bad opinions hurled his way, which Wallace presumably saw as a chance to take the interview off-topic, saying that Driver does not look like a typical movie star.

He followed the comment with a question on whether Driver’s physical appearance was a help or hindrance in his career. “I’ve worked consistently, which is nice, with people that I’ve always dreamed that I wanted to work with,” Driver answered.

“So in that sense, it hasn’t — I look how I look, I can’t change that. So I guess it helped me. A hindrance to only breaking mirrors wherever I go and having a misshapen, outsized body that I can’t fit through doorways, most clothes or most cars,” the actor joked.
