IU has teamed up with renowned director Um Tae Hwa for her highly anticipated comeback music video, promising a visual masterpiece that includes none other than BTS’s V, elevating the anticipation among fans.

According to industry insiders, the collaboration between IU and Tae Hwa, known for his work on the film Concrete Utopia, has yielded a compelling music video experience.

IU’s agency, Edam Entertainment, confirmed that Tae Hwa directed the video, with the filming process now complete. Concurrently, IU is in the final stages of shooting for You Have Done Well, a project written in the Jeju dialect.

Fans’ curiosity was piqued on Dec 5 when reports surfaced of IU wrapping up filming with BTS’s V before his upcoming enlistment. Additionally, EDAM Entertainment hinted at IU’s new album, scheduled for release in the first half of 2024.

This collaboration is not the first between IU and Tae Hwa – in 2018, they teamed up for IU’s 10th-anniversary concert video production. IU’s interest in collaborating was sparked after watching Tae Hwa’s short film, Forest.

Now, this dynamic partnership is set to deliver another stunning and memorable music video for IU, adding a layer of excitement to her already highly anticipated comeback.
