SYED Husin Ali’s reputation preceded him. When we were student activists in the UK in the 1970s, his incarceration and that of other dissidents under the Internal Security Act inspired us to seek their release. He was one of the founding members of Parti Sosialis Rakyat Malaysia (PSRM) and served as its president.
